We are looking for an enthusiastic person with a strong work ethic to join our team of toy specialists.
Applicants must be confident interacting with members of the public of all ages, passionate about toys, driven, customer-focussed and able to retain product information about our vast range with ease.
Our team regularly hosts spontaneous product demonstrations in store, as well as organised activities for our customers, such as mascot days, play days and competitions, Sales Assistants must be able to promote these events in store and be keen to get involved with our staff dress-up days such as World Book Day, Halloween, Christmas jumper days and our Christmas Eve ‘PJ Day.’
· 20 hours per week minimum, additional hours available on an ad-hoc basis.
· Must be flexible to work weekdays and weekends.
· Must be available over the festive season.
· Retail experience preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Customer service.
- Cash Handling.
- Daily cleaning.
- Keeping abreast of industry trends.
- Maintaining extensive knowledge of our vast range of toys & games.
- Product demonstration.
- Participating in store events.
Skills
Essential:
- Exceptional customer service.
- Basic cash handling.
- Manual handling.
- Must be capable of unloading heavy boxes from pallets and carrying stock upstairs to our stock room.
- Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, and school holidays.
Desirable:
- Previous retail experience.
- Previous experience within the toy industry.
- Personal interest in children's toys & games.
